Healthy Marriage and Relationship Education (HMRE) programs aim to promote child well-being and family economic security by teaching parents the skills to develop and maintain healthy relationships, thereby enhancing relationship quality and stability. This comprehensive review of the evaluation literature on HMRE programs summarizes evaluation findings to date and identifies critical next steps for understanding the effectiveness of HMRE programs. Findings from this study demonstrate that HMRE programs have been successful in improving a range of outcomes that are targeted by HMRE programs.
