An RCT of Dating Matters: Effects on Teen Dating Violence and Relationship Behaviors

This study presents results from a randomized controlled trial of Dating Matters, a comprehensive, multicomponent dating violence prevention model for teens. A total of 2,349 middle school students in urban areas in the U.S. participated in the study. Findings inform the effectiveness of programming for reducing unhealthy relationship behaviors, such as teen dating violence and use of negative conflict resolution strategies among teens.
