CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: MAST Center’s 2022 Professional Development Grants

APPLICATIONS DUE JULY 15, 2022 BY 5:00 PM ET

The MAST Center is pleased to announce the call for applications for our 2022 Professional Development Grant Program. The program provides a financial stipend (up to $750) to up to 10 emerging scholars in an HMRE-related field (e.g., human development, family science, sociology, demography, psychology, program evaluation) to cover costs associated with certain professional development activities.

Finances can often be a barrier for emerging scholars—graduate students or early career professionals (within 3 years of their graduate degree)—to participate in important professional networking and career development opportunities. The stipends from our Professional Development Grant Program will be awarded in August 2022 and can be used to cover professional development costs during the 2022-2023 academic year. Approved professional development expenses include conference registrations, secondary data licenses, research-related training opportunities (e.g., short courses), journal publishing fees, professional conference travel fees, or other expenses for activities that directly support professional development. The award will not support memberships to professional organizations. During the 2022-2023 academic year, award winners will also have the opportunity attend a virtual networking event with MAST Center researchers.
